Barb is the owner of Spots Dog Grooming and a 1990 graduate from the Rochester Institute of Dog Grooming. Since that time she has worked at several dog grooming salons, and owned her first business in St. Thomas, USVI, Wags to Whiskers. Hurricane Marilyn brought Barb and her husband back to the states where they started a family and have been kept busy raising a daughter and son. As a NYS licensed grooming instructor Barb teaches at the Rochester Institute of Dog Grooming, is Certified in Pet First Aid and is working toward her Master Groomer’s Certification.
The Barking Lot on Humboldt Street is where you will remember seeing Kate for the past 29 years. Her grooming experience and expertise took her to the Pittsford PetSaver for a short time, and then we lured her back to Spots where she has reunited with her furry friends past and present.
Kate is President of the Pet Adoption Network located at 4261 Culver Road in Irondequoit - www.petadoptionnetwork.org. She has been involved in pet resue for 35 years and is certified in Pet First Aid.
Chelsea is a graduate of the Rochester Institute of Dog Grooming with certification in All-Breed Grooming and Pet First Aid. From there she decided to expand into cat grooming and also creative color services which include nail painting, stencils and colored mohawks. In her spare time she enjoys volunteering at Verona Street Animal Society, helping dogs and cats find their fur-ever homes. Chelsea joined us at SPOTS in September, 2014 and is pictured here with her two Siberian Huskies Luna and Kazu.
Jessica graduated as a Certified Professional Dog Groomer from the Rochester Institute of Dog Grooming in November, 2015, turning a lifetime of loving animals into a passionate career. She enjoys being able to use her creativity and skill to bring out the best in each client's groom and works tirelessly to ensure each dog has a pleasurable experience. In her spare time, she enjoys riding and training her horse, as well as dog walking and pet sitting. Jessica joined our Spots team in May, 2017.
