Barb is the owner of Spots Dog Grooming and a 1990 graduate of the Rochester Institute of Dog Grooming. Since that time she has worked at several dog grooming salons, and owned her first business in St. Thomas, USVI, Wags to Whiskers. Hurricane Marilyn brought Barb and her husband back to the states when she began teaching at the Rochester Institute of Dog Grooming. In 2013 Spots Dog Grooming opened it's doors. In 2016 due to the need for a larger space, Spots moved into it's current location. Our Groomers and the friends that we serve are what make our Spots Family special. We appreciate your support and look forward to many, many more years of service.
Cheryl has been grooming professionally since 2019. Her goal is to help every dog look and feel their best with great attention to detail.
Cheryl's involvement in dog rescue led her to a better understanding that proper grooming enhances the quality of a dog's life. Dog Grooming is Cheryl's second career. After spending 32 years working for a retail jewelry store, she came to the realization that dogs are way more precious than diamonds. She traded her career in gold and bling for one filled with furry four-legged friends and slobber. The trade-off continues to be more gratifying and rewarding with each new day.

Hi, my name is Emma and I became a professional dog groomer in 2022!
I enjoy being able to work with dogs every day. Getting to know my clients and their personalities is one of the best ways to keep them happy and comfortable. I have my own little guy Benny that needs grooming, and I understood the struggle in finding a good groomer. I know how important it is to entrust your pet to someone and that’s why I wanted to become a groomer!
If you have any questions, or would like to set up an appointment with me, please call

Hello! I am Constance Grey. I love dogs, and it brings me true joy to groom dogs every day. I graduated from the Animal Behavior College online course with over 150 hours of hands-on experience.
My grooming goal is not only to provide a fantastic groom for dogs but to become a specialized groomer in multiple purebreds and win grooming competitions. I have a blog where I like to share my research about different bred histories and showcase dogs in their pattern. It is also an excellent place to share my progress and path to becoming an award-winning groomer.
Even though I have my eyes set on my goals, I would also say my best quality is my ability to empathize with dogs, and I have an immense amount of patience for all dogs, even the ones that have trouble in the grooming salon. If your dog is having problems, I try to make a plan that helps your dog have a more positive experience at the salon. This plan usually includes desensitization at home and in the salon and could mean we break up the groom in multiple sessions or have a session with more breaks. Because grooming is essential to a dog's overall health, I try my absolute hardest to ensure your dog is groomed in completion in the most calm and positive manner.
